DRIVE FOR PEACE' AIDS VICTIMS
THE directors and committee members of Dun Uladh Heritage and Cultural Centre, near Omagh, have extended their thanks to all those who supported their Drive for Peace event in Omagh.
The directors and committee of the centre have thanked all those who supported the event, including the owners of the vintage vehicles and Omagh-born singer, Dominic Kirwan, who made a guest appearance on the day.
Thanks were also extended to the police for their assistance, to Walter Currie and his wife for providing a display of miniature farming equipment, and to Michael McElroy and Michael Cowlan for the three dimensional animated exhibition of country life in Ireland.
Organisers say the barn dance was also a great success with the entertainment being provided by the Traditional Sounds Band and the Mad Hatters line dancing troupe.
The centre is still receiving donations for the victims of the Omagh bombing following the event, and is to pass the proceeds on to local charities to help buy equipment for those injured as a result of the bomb.
