CARICATURE RAISES £10.000 FOR OMAGH FUND
A caricature of chat show host Gay Byrne, sketched by popular cartoonist Rolf Harris, has raised £10,000 for the Omagh Fund.
The drawing, which is signed by both the artist and the sitter was sold to the highest bidder on RTE-1's 'Late, Late Show' last Friday night.
A caller, who wished to remain anonymous, contacted the programme and pledged £10,000 for the comical picture.
An RTE spokesperson confirmed yesterday that the call was not a hoax.
