KESH CONCERT TO BOOST OMAGH FUND
Kesh concert to boost Omagh fund
MEMBERS of Ardess Accordion Band have decided to donate the proceeds from their annual concert to the Omagh Fund.
The concert is organised annually to raise funds for the band, which is based near Kesh, but, according to a spokesperson, members felt so moved by the terrible atrocity in Omagh in August, that they wanted to donate the money to the Fund instead this year.
The event, which is to take place in the Lough Erne Hotel, Kesh, on Saturday, October 31, will feature an impressive line-up of artistes, including many from the surrounding district.
Performers will include Vincie Carr, Eleanor McGrath, the Kesh WI drama group, the Ederney Drama Group, a group of Irish dancers and guest singer, Jim Anderson.
Compere for the evening will be Terence McKeague, from Co. Down.
The concert will be followed by a dance and a draw, with prizes donated by a number of businesses in the village.
