Three quizzed after arrests in Dundalk

THERE have been reports that three men arrested in Dundalk early yesterday (Wednesday) are being questioned in relation to the theft of a car used in the Omagh bombing.
A Garda spokeswoman confirmed that three men were arrested under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, but declined to say what the nature of the inquiries were.
She said the men, aged 25, 28 and 32 were being questioned at Garda stations in Carrickmacross and Monaghan.
Meanwhile, all those arrested on both sides of the border last week and questioned in relation to the Omagh bombing on August 15th have been released without charge.
Seven people arrested in the Republic were all released by Thursday last, with the RUC releasing six men on Sunday night.
The arrests had been made in co-ordinated operations by the RUC and Gardaí on Monday of last week.
