Snooker star in Omagh to boost Memorial Fund

RENOWNED Irish and World snooker star, Jimmy 'whirlwind' White will play exhibition matches in Omagh, with all the proceeds going to the Omagh Memorial Fund.
White starts a tour of Northern Ireland today (Thursday) and although when plans were first made for it, he was not to visit Omagh, event promoter Colin Maguire, rearranged the programme, so the snooker star could do his bit to raise money for the fund.
On Monday White will play two sessions of challenge matches and exhibition frames.
Tickets for the event are normally priced £12, but because the star is offering his service free, the cost to Omagh people will be £6 for adults and £3 for pensioners and children.
Two shows will be staged in Omagh Leisure Complex's minor hall the first at 4.30pm and another at 8pm.
