VINTAGE RALLY RAISES OVER £2,000 FOR OMAGH FUND

Vintage rally raises over £2,000 for Omagh fund

THE 11th annual rally organised by Omagh and District Vintage Club proved a resounding success with over £2,000 being raised for the Omagh Memorial Fund.
The money was raised from the sale of programmes, entry fees, a raffle, private donations, and a 'Lamborghini Paddock Run' event.
The fundraising event held in Clanabogan received a welcome boost following the donation of £100 from a Dublin firm, £50 from Mr. Rory Wolf, a steam engine enthusiast from Randlestown, £70 from Eugene and Alice McLaughlin, who also donated the use of their grounds for the event, and £107 following the raffle of goods donated by a man from Dublin.
The 'Lamborghini Paddock Run, raised a total of £270 for the fund. The winner for the event was Mrs. Pauline Keys, from Scunthorpe, England, who guessed the correct time of 71 minutes.
A check for the total amount raised will be handed over at a super dance in the Eccles Arms, Fintona, on Friday, October 16th.
The organisers have thanked everyone who supported the event.
