Dance spectacular to aid Omagh fund

A TROUPE of traditional Irish dancers are to stage a two-night dance extravaganza in Omagh in aid of the town's Memorial Fund
The Celtic Dance Troupe, will be tripping the light fantastic at St. Joseph's Hall, Omagh, on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4, with curtain up at 8pm. The show is entitled "Call to Dance".
Tickets, priced at £5 each, will be available at the Tourist Information Office, from Monday.
The dazzling spectacular, which recently had audiences in Newry Town Hall clamouring for more, fuses vibrant original Irish dances, choreographed and produced by top dancing exponent, Mary Rafferty.
The show also features two narrators, Val Morgan and Gerry Doherty, who set the scene, and there is a thunderous kaleidoscope of lighting and music, which complements the exhilarating dance sequences.
Among the set dance pieces will be "A Celtic Dawn", "The Pursuit Dancer of Diarmaid and Grainne", and "The Magic of the Celts".
The singers are Corrina Cunningham, Michelle Magee and Sheila Watson, who perform as a trio and as soloists, and the musicians will be John Toal, Luke Graham, Aine Mullan, Gillian Mullan and Eamon Kane.
All proceeds from the show will be donated to the Omagh Memorial Fund, and the organizers have appealed for the event to be well supported.
