OMAGH MEMORIAL GARDEN TO REMAIN OPEN
Members of Omagh District Council have been assured that the Memorial Garden in Omagh will be open over the Christmas and New Year period for those who have been bereaved in the Omagh bombing of August 15 last year.
Mr. Oliver Gibson asked council staff to bear in mind that families might like to visit the garden during Christmas, and asked whether or not it would be available for families.
The chief executive, Mr. John McKinney, assured members that, although a decision was to be made on the permanent location of the memorial garden, it would be open for the Christmas period.
