POLICE APPEAL RENEWED

Police appeal renewed

Detectives investigating the Omagh bombing have reiterated their appeal for information about a Mercedes Sprinter van, believed to have been in the Campsie Road, Market Street area between 2.15pm and 2.20pm on the day of the bombing.
They are anxious to speak to the driver of the van, which is described as having a light-coloured cab and a darker rear.
Superintendent James Baxter, the sub-divisional commander for the area, said it was still important for those who were in the town between 2pm and 3pm on August 15 to get in touch with detectives.
"It is particularly important if you were in Market Street or High Street, whether driving your car, parking there, however briefly, or were simply a pedestrian out shopping." He said.
