ULSTER PROJECT PRESENTS BOOKS OF CONDOLENCES
Mr Allan Rainey, vice-chairman of Omagh District Council, receiving books of condolences and cheques amounting to $4,000 from Mrs. Edie Waterstone, who was a founder member of the Ulster Project, with her husband, Canon Kerry Waterstone. The Ulster Project is a cross-community scheme which has been running for 25 years, enabling teenagers to spend a month in America. Families that had hosted youngsters from the area in the past remembered Omagh in their prayers in the aftermath of the bomb, and ' books of condolences came from Salt Lake City, Lake Charles, Atlanta and Arizona. Also pictured at Omagh District Council offices are Mr Edmond Wiltshire, local co-ordinator of the Ulster Project, Mr Sean Clarke, chairman of Omagh District Council, and Rev Kevin Mullen, local co-ordinator.
