Gibson slams report as 'provocative'
WEST Tyrone DUP Assemblyman Mr. Oliver Gibson has described last week's Police Ombudsman's report as provocative and self contradictory.
"The controversy of last week is a calculated insult, a raising of expectations that may never be delivered, a reopening of healing wounds and an appalling abuse of the victims of Omagh's natural good nature. Nuala O'Loan has much to answer," said Mr. Gibson.
He said that the report was in response to an article "by a tout in a tabloid newspaper. Her reaction was, he said, equal only to the alleged tout's claims.
He said the Ombudsman had "missed the investigation mark by a mile" and destroyed any credibility she and her office may ever have had.
