Pilgrim walk for reconciliation
A PILGRIM walk has been organised by Women's World Day of Prayer, set to take place on Friday, September 14.
The pilgrimage walks have been taking place annually since the Omagh bombing of August, 1998, the first walk being held on September 4 of that year which was entitled 'pilgrimage of peace'.
The pilgrims started off at the Sacred Heart Church, then proceeded on to the St Columba's Parish Church and then made their way to the Methodist Church, before moving on to Trinity Presbyterian Church.
For the following two years the pilgrimage walks were for light and hope, and again the same churches were visited, among others.
Mrs Francis Gormley, who is involved in organising the pilgrim walks said: "This year we are having another pilgrim walk for reconciliation. Starting in the Sacred Heart Church at 6pm, we will move on to the Presbyterian Church, proceeding on to the Methodist Church and finishing at the St Columba's Parish Church."
Organised by Women's World Day of Prayer, all are welcome to attend, both children and adults. '
