School delighted with results by bomb survivor
A YOUNG student who was blinded in the Omagh bombing of three years ago achieved notable success in her A levels.
Clare Gallagher is now preparing for her studies at Queen's university, after her achievements at Loreto Grammar School.
The principal Mrs Grainne O'Hanlon commenting on Clare's success said: "Clare deserves the highest recognition for doing so well in her A levels.
"Her courage is inspirational and as a school community we are enriched by the challenge of helping her achieve her goals at this stage.
"The commitment of all those who worked with Clare, her teachers, support staff, W.E.L.B., RNIB, fellow pupils overcame any difficulties which presented.
"In particular the school would like to pay tribute to Clare's parents for their unfailing support. Clare will impress everyone with her ambition, determination and dignity as she embarks on her career in music and psychology in Queen's University Belfast"
