Patrick McCrary, superintendent of the National Park Service, and Matt Loggins, assistant city manager for Lowell, Massachusetts, who visited Omagh recently, pictured with Allan Rainey, of Omagh District Council. The visit was a follow-up to a visit a year ago by Mr. Rainey, and during discussions at the time it was established that Mr. McCrary was the first national park superintendent at the Oklahoma City bombing memorial. During the visit, discussions took place on how both areas might find common issues for dealing with issues relating to bomb recovery, and it was suggested that a delegation might visit Oklahoma, and that a return visit might take place. It was also suggested that Omagh form part of a nationwide "museum of Social Conscience", which is made up of cities around the world where human rights have been affected and a high toll of human life has been taken. Also in the photograph are Mr. Michael Gallagher, chairman of the Omagh Self-Help and Support Group, and Mr. Stanley McCombe, vice-chairman of the group, both of whom were bereaved in the Omagh bombing in 1998.
