Wave hosts information day
OMAGH Wave group, which was set up to help those bereaved or traumatised as a result of the Troubles, is to host an Information Day in the town on Tuesday next, February 6.
The centre, at Unit 4, Old Market Building, Market Place, will be open to the public between 2pm and 4pm, and everyone who is interested in attending will be able to learn about what services Wave in Omagh offers.
Among the many stands will be displays on welfare and advice, complementary therapies such as reflexology and aromatherapy, information on specialist areas such as youth programmes, befriending, counselling and training courses.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for yourself as an individual, or your group, family and friends to learn more about the work of WAVE," Mrs. Tracey Kernaghan, Omagh project co-ordinator said.
The Information Day is part of the Community Relations Week of events that will be taking part in the town and the rest of Northern Ireland.
The staff and management of WAVE in Omagh, have thanked those who have supported their work to date, and particularly since August 15 two years ago, and have pledged to continue to support the local community and those further afield through their permanent centre at Old Market Place.
