Fans queue overnightn in ticket rush for Boyzone's second concert

Tickets for the second boyzone concert in Omagh were sold out in less than an hour and a half on Saturday morning. Demand for tickets for the original event in Omagh Leisure centre on Saturday, January 2, encouraged the band to schedule matinee performance for the same day.
Another 1,000 tickets were allocated for the second concert, and Robert Clarke, of Route 66 record shop, began selling them at 8am on Saturday morning.
"They were all gone by 9.30am, and some people had queued from 8pm the night before to get them. Boyzone fans had come from Belfast, Portrush and Carrickfergus to get tickets," said Mr Clarke.
A spokesperson for Aiken Promotions said neither the band nor the promoters would take a performance fee for.their show in the Leisure Centre. Any profits after production costs have been covered will be donated to the Omagh Fund.
"There was a great demand for another show, and the band decided if they could get in early to do it they would. Everything will have to start earlier than planned, but everyone is prepared to do their work for as little as they can," she said.
The tickets, which would normally retail at £17.50, were sold for the special price of £10.
