BAGATELLE TO APPEAR IN OMAGH

Bagatelle to appear in Omagh

THE local community group, Omawest, is currently putting the gloss on plans for a special fundraising event in aid of Tyrone County Hospital and the Omagh Memorial Fund.
The development group has pencilled in a special one off appearance in Omagh of club supergroup, Bagatelle.
The band is to appear at the Irish National Foresters' building on Thursday, December 3, and all proceeds from the event will boost the coffers of the hospital and the Fund.
Already Omawest has assisted in raising £153,000 through an art auction in Dublin in aid of the hospital, but members felt the townsfolk needed a lift, as well as an opportunity to support the hospital and fund at a local event.
Bagatelle, one of Ireland's best-known supergroups, has been on the road since 1978, and is fronted by Eurovision star, Liam Reilly. The group is currently on a 20th anniversary tour and the Omagh date will be their only appearance in counties Tyrone or Fermanagh.
Bagatelle raised over 50,000 dollars for the Omagh Fund at a booking in New York, and after an approach to the management by members of Omawest the band 'jumped' at the chance to come to Omagh.
Tickets for the event are now available and demand is expected to be great. Outlets include Route 66, News At Six, FOCUS, Omawest, Tyrone County Hospital and the INF in Omagh, as well as outlets in Carrickmore and Enniskillen and some outlying towns in the district.
