CHEQUE FOR �8,856 PRESENTED TO ODC FROM AVOCA CO WICKLOW
Phyllis Mates and Carmel Burke, from Avoca, County Wicklow, presenting a cheque for �8,856 for the Omagh Fund to the chairman of the council, Mr. Sean Clarke. The money was raised by a fund-raising committee which organised a dance, auction and a door-to-door collection. Also in the picture are some members of the committee, who came to Omagh this week to hand over the cheque, two of the Omagh victims who were injured in the Omagh bombing and the vice-chairman of the council, Mr. Allan Rainey.
