BRUSSELS CONCERT FOR OMAGH FUND

THE 7,000-strong Irish community in Belgium has organised a concert in aid of the victims of the Omagh bombing. "Twenty of Ireland's most prominent traditional musicians have volunteered to play free of charge, including Altan, De Dannan, Frances Black, Liam O'FIynn, Arty McGlynn, Paddy Keenan, Paddy Glackin, La Lugh and Shantaila.
The organisers include the Northern Ireland group in Belgium and the Irish Club of Belgium, who aim to raise a minimum of �320,000 through ticket sales, sponsorship and direct donations.
The four-hour concert will take place in Ancienne Belique, Brussels, on Monday, November 30, and there is a possibility that it will be broadcast on radio in Ireland, both north and south, as well as in Belgium.
