A charity presentation and sponsors evening took place at Aughnacloy Golf CJub on Wednesday last.
The secretary of the club, Sidney Houston, welcomed all present, particularly the sponsors of the various competitions during the year and the representatives from the Crossroads, Marie Curie and Alzheimer's Disease Society.
The secretary then gave a brief resume of the year at Aughnacloy and thanked all sponsors for their support to the club. He also thanked all those who had assisted with drainage and course maintenance during the year.
He then asked the captain, Mr. Richie Young, to present the sum of £300 to the Crossroads representative, Mr. Walter Atkinson, who then thanked the club most sincerely. The captain then presented £425 each to the Marie Curie and Alzheimer's representatives, Monia McCausland and Ida Johnston.
Both also thanked the club for their thoughtfulness and support.
The secretary then reported that £800 had also been sent to the Omagh Fund.
Following the presentation, all were treated to a delicious supper prepared by Colum of The Loft Restaurant.
