PRAYER WALK TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR OMAGH'S BOMB VICTIMS
Prayer walk to show support for Omagh's bomb victims
A SILENT prayer walk, in conjunction with Omagh Churches' Forum will take place on Sunday afternoon, beginning at Drumragh Avenue car park.
Among those taking part will be members of the local emergency services who worked tirelessly at the time of the Omagh bombing.
Also taking part will be a group of walkers from Drogheda, who will be arriving in Omagh a short time before the Silent Walk gets underway at 3pm, having walked from their hometown with a cross.
The walk will end at Tyrone County Hospital with prayers of hope and healing, and with praise led by St. Eugene's Band.
The event is open to all, and the organisers have appealed for a large and representative turnout of local people.
The aim of the walk is to show support for those injured or bereaved by the bomb on August 15, and for the emergency services.
Omagh will also remember the victims of the bombing atrocity at a special outdoor prayer service tomorrow (Friday) at 8pm at the Silverbirch Hotel.
The event is being hosted by Maranatha in Northern Ireland, and is open to all.
