ANNIVERSARY PRAYER
The following is an anniversary prayer which, together with a number of readings, has been sent to all churches in the Omagh area for inclusion in their morning worship services on Sunday in remembrance of last year's tragic events.
In the comfort of your love we pour out to you, O Lord,
The memories that haunt us,
The anxieties that perplex us,
The fears that stifle us,
The sickness that prevails upon us,
And the frustration of all the pain
that weaves about and within us.
Lord, help us to see your peace in our turmoil,
Your compassion in our sorrow,
Your forgiveness in our weakness,
And your love in our need.
Touch us, O Lord, with your healing power and strength,
Make us your peace-makers, And grant us the help of your Holy Spirit to
build a renewed community, Where love and righteousness reign.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
