LOCAL HEALTH TRUST SENDS MESSAGE TO CAPETOWN HOSPITAL

Local health trust sends message of support to Capetown hospital

SPERRIN Lakeland Health and Social Care Trust has written to the City Park Hospital in Capetown, supporting the South African medical centre in its care for the terrorist bomb victims of the recent attack on a Planet Hollywood restaurant.
In his letter on behalf of managers, directors, staff, and the people of Omagh, Mr. Hugh Mills, the Trust's chief executive, told Mr. Selwyn Sharon, the hospital's managing director: "Having been immensely supported in the past few days by the messages of sympathy and support from around the world for our victims, patients and staff, can I convey to you and your staff that our thoughts are with you at this time.
"It is deplorable that so many staff trained in responding to the needs of those with disease, illness and injuries sustained accidentally should once again be called upon to treat and care for the victims of terrorists around the world.
"Our thoughts and prayers from all in Omagh are with you."
