TO OMAGH (POEM)
TO OMAGH
Omagh, we feel your pain,
What do the men of violence
gain from such atrocity?
Omagh, with you we cry,
And we ask ourselves just
why this slaying?
A battlefield of blood and tears,
Of shock and disbelief and fears.
Such suffering.
And from its midst come loving arms,
To carry, cradle and to warm Humanity.
It seems as if all life has ended,
So many loved ones killed and wounded,
The Agony.
From a sleeping death awakened,
Women, men and children taken in infancy.
Omagh, we have seen and watched,
Bravery which is quite unmatched this century.
But for now, you cannot carry on.
These are the days when you will mourn this tragedy.
May God give you strength just now.
And in prayer we all must bow in unity.
Soon, evil men will stop their plans.
Their bodies die and then they 'II stand in Judgement.
Omagh, we pray that peace prevails,
Stand together and evil will fail forever.
