COURAGE NEEDED IN FUTURE
Sir,
I am just writing to pass on to you my deepest sympathy to the whole town of Omagh and its surrounding villages at this very sad time.
I spent some years working in the Castlederg area some time ago and I used to love coming into Omagh town.
There was always an atmosphere of friendliness as there was in the villages and towns round about.
It was deeply disturbing to see how such a town renowned for its friendliness and warmth should be plunged into such despair and grief.
Facing the future is going to demand much courage, but I have no doubt that the people of your community on both sides of the divide will show the resolve necessary to go forward.
May it be of some consolation and encouragement to your readers to know that there are many in the wider community who are praying for the people of Omagh at this time.
