33 BLAST INJURED STILL IN HOSPITAL
THE number of people still being treated in hospital as a result of the Omagh bombing stood yesterday (Wednesday) at 33. Three of those are in a critical condition.
The three remaining patients at Tyrone County Hospital were all discharged in the past week and in the neighbouring Erne Hospital in Enniskillen, two women are still receiving treatment. Their condition is described as stable.
In the Royal Victoria in Belfast, 15 patients are being cared for, three of whom are described as critical.
Of the remaining 12, five are stable, two are comfortable, and five are described as 'progressing'.
At Belfast City Hospital, two patients are receiving treatment for their injuries. They are a 75-year-old woman, who was removed from intensive care at the weekend, and is now described as being stable and comfortable, and a 21-year-old woman, whose condition is also described as comfortable.
A total of five patients are now being treated in the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald, one of whom was transferred from the Altnagelvin. Three are in a satisfactory condition, and one is described as ill, but stable. The condition of the transferred patient was not known at time of going to press.
Eight patients remain in the Altnagelvin, six female and two male. Of those, three are children, aged between 12 and 14. They are all described as stable.
Only one female patient remains in the South Tyrone Hospital in Dungannon, and she is described as stable.
