SO SORRY FOR YOU (POEM)

SO SORRY FOR YOU

How my heart breaks to see your town burn
Now is the time to give peace a turn.
The rubble, the damage, a little boy's tears,
This is a nightmare every good person fears.
The look of those mothers with shock in their eyes,
The devastation caused, that took so many lived.
How grown men stand, helpless and weep,
Because of sheer hatred for years has run deep.
But now is the time for the violence to stop,
No more rivers of blood not even a drop.
Be courageous today in your total despair,
All good people in Omagh your sorrow we share.
An end to this hatred all good people wish,
No matter what nation Irish or British
Whatever the colour, religion or creed.
An end to this violence it what we all need.
We feel the anguish, the sorrow, the pain,
We pray these scenes never to witness again.
