BOMB WAS AN ATTACK ON PEOPLE OF OMAGH

Bomb was attack on people of Omagh'

LOCAL SDLP councillor, Mr. Pat McDonnell, has said the town of Omagh will rebuild itself and work towards peace after the weekend's horror, as it is the only option open to it.
Speaking earlier this week, Mr. McDonnell said he was confident the town would recover from the bombing, which he described as "an assault on the community".
"There was no discrimination in the direction of that bomb. It was totally indiscriminate. It can only be interpreted as an attack on the people of Omagh," he said.
However, Mr. McDonnell said the community would rebuild itself, because it had to.
"And it has to develop the framework of the expressed will of the people in the Referendum and the Assembly. We don't have the luxury of any other options. There is no other path to stability," he said.
