HEALTH COUNCIL EXPRESSES PRIDE IN HOSPITALS
Health council expresses 'pride' in hospitals
THE Western Health and Social Services Council has extended its sympathies to those bereaved and injured by the bomb.
"But in the midst of great grief, great sympathy and deep despair, one word keeps recurring: pride," said Mr Hughes, Council Chairman.
"We are so proud of our County Hospital, Erne Hospital and Altnagelvin Hospital.
"And we are gratefuJ for the services of the Royal Group, the Ulster and the South Tyrone."
Mr Hughes thanked the emergency services - police, army, ambulance and medical - for their tremendous efforts.
He particularly commended the work of the medical services, for their "dedication, skill and sympathetic input."
He also thanked the hundreds of volunteers who so selflessly offered their services.
