STRABANE CHAMBER PLEDGES SUPPORT
SYMPATHY to the people of Omagh and the town's business community as been expressed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Strabane.
In a letter to Mr. Michael Gaine, president of Omagh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Strabane secretary, Mr. Philip Browne, offered sympathy for the "dreadful deed" carried out last Saturday.
"We are horrified - and it is difficult to express fully in words our true thoughts," Mr, Browne said.
"Our utmost sympathy goes out to the people of Omagh, and our thoughts are very much with those bereaved and injured.
"We hope that such an outrage will never again occur anywhere else," he said.
Mr. Browne said the Strabane Chamber would do everything it could to support the Omagh community.
