SCENE OF 'PURE CHAOS'
ONE of those in town as usual on a Saturday was 16-year-old Dwayne Howard, from Omagh's Hospital Road.
He said he was not aware of the bomb alert, though did see a crowd gathering at the Market Street junction.
"Me and my friends met there but we decided to go back down to Campsie. I turned my back, and the bomb went off," he said.
Several of his friends were hurt, and he helped take them to hospital. One of them was transferred to Altnagelvin Hospital with leg injuries.
He described the scene after the blast as "pure chaos".
"I could not see, and it was hard to breathe with the dust. People were running and screaming, they did not know what to do," he said.
