Ahern to meet relatives
BERTIE Ahern has agreed to meet the relatives of the victims of the Omagh bombing, for the first time, next month.
The Irish Premier will meet representatives of the Omagh Victims Group in the Dail, on March 11.
The group has been seeking a meeting with the Taoiseach for the last five years, and recently snubbed the Fianna Fail leader, when he paid a visit to the Omagh memorial.
To show their anger at Mr Ahern's refusal to meet them, the group travelled to Dublin to meet opposition leader, Enda Kenny, while the Taoiseach was in Omagh. Michael Gallagher, the main spokesman for the group, said the March meeting would be business-like, because the group needed vital answers to questions.
