Army spy stages handcuff protest

The former IRA spy known as Kevin Fulton staged a Suffragette-style protest in London last week.
The Newry man handcuffed himself to a rail at the London offices of the Custom and Excise service.
It is understood the protest is part of Fulton's on-going campaign to highlight what he regards as the Ministry of Defence's abandonment of undercover agents like himself who worked in Ulster.
It's understood that he appeared at Tower Bridge Magistrate's court on Thursday accused of obstructing police. But the charge was dismissed.
Fulton, who has a number of aliases, appeared under one of his pseudonyms.
A former British soldier, Fulton infiltrated the IRA for Army Intelligence, and later worked for a variety of agencies including the Customs.
He was the agent whose controversial allegations led to Police Ombudsman Nuala O'Loan's probe into the RUC's Omagh bomb investigation.
In March, he walked into Newry PSNI station, and demanded police protection.
Police provided him with a mattress - and he ended up spending the night in the interview room of Ardmore station.
