Investigation is welcomed
MICHAEL Gallagher, whose son Adrian, (21), died in the blast, welcomed the Ombudsman's investigation.
"It is important that the Police Ombudsman does investigate this matter.
"The allegations involved are very serious, and have to be fully investigated.
"As an independent body, the Ombudsman is in the best position to carry out an investigation.
"I think Omagh would stand alone - it is not connected to any other serious crimes that are being investigated.
"The terms of reference would be up to the Police Ombudsman, but I feel it has to concentrate on the allegation that information was supplied to police three days before the bomb.
"Was that information supplied? And what bearing could that have had on the events three days later?"
