OMAGH bomb victim Diane McCann, has never been able, personally, to thank the man who came to her aid on that tragic day.
"I don't know who he is, and it would be lovely to be able to thank him, personally and let him know how much I appreciate what he did," said Diane. The anonymous hero was one of two men who came to Diane's rescue.
Together they used a shelf from a nearby shop to stretcher Diana onto a bus taking casualties to hospital.
The man stayed with the badly injured girl until she arrived at casualty.
He remained by her side until medical staff were able to give her assistance.
Said Diane: "I have spoken to the other man who helped me, but even he doesn't know this man.
"If he reads this I would be grateful if he would get in touch."
