LINKS TO OMAGH BOMB CASE

Links to Omagh bomb case

THE Libya-IRA lawsuit is very similar to the trillion dollar legal action being taken by relatives of the September 11 victims in America.
US lawyers acting for the 9/11 families used the Omagh bomb families' civil action against alleged Real IRA leaders as a test case to launch their action.
The Omagh court proceedings are being headed by London solicitor Jason McCue - the man behind the UK arm of the Libya-IRA case.
Calling themselves Families United to Bankrupt Terrorism, the 9/11 plaintiffs are suing seven international banks; eight Islamic foundations, charities and their subsidiaries; individual terrorist financiers; the Saudi bin Laden Group; three Saudi princes and the government of Sudan for allegedly bankrolling the terrorist al-Queda network, Osama bin Laden and the Taliban.
All are accused of sponsoring or enabling the 9/11atrocities and the deaths of around 3,000 US citizens.
This type of culpability will be key to the Libya-IRA prosecution argument.
The 9/11 lawyers are among a new breed of legal minds going after groups such as al-Queda and Hammas.
