Omagh victims get £20 million

VICTIMS of the Omagh bomb atrocity have received more than £20m in compensation.
Secretary of State Peter Hain, in a written reply to East Belfast MP Peter Robinson, said the Compensation Agency had fully resolved 826 of 852 criminal injury claims.
Twenty-nine people, including a woman pregnant with unborn twins, died in the 1998 Real IRA car bomb attack.
Of the 220 criminal damage claims, 214 have been resolved with approximately £7.5m paid in compensation, Mr Hain said.
Co Armagh man Sean Hoey was charged earlier this year with murder in relation to the bombing.
