7 YEARS ON AND STILL NO JUSTICE

7 YEARS ON AND STILL NO JUSTICE

THE fact that no-one has been brought to account for the Omagh bombing hit home yesterday - almost seven years to the day after the atrocity.
But a steely determination to catch those who murdered 29 people and unborn twins on August 15,1998, was also evident at a commemoration service.
Speaking afterwards, Michael Gallagher, whose 21-year-old son Aiden died in the blast, said: "An important message has been sent out from Omagh to those who delivered that car bomb - we will not forget what happened and we will not allow you to forget either."
It also emerged that many of the bereaved families are still locked in legal battles over compensation, and are outraged at the small amounts offered.
