OMAGH BOMB SUSPECT STILL BEING QUESTIONED
Omagh bomb suspect still being questioned
DETECTIVES investigating the Omagh bomb massacre were last night still questioning a man about serious terrorist offences.
The 34-year-old suspect remained in custody after being arrested overnight in Newry, Co Down, by officers probing the August 1998 blast. He is from the Dundalk area of Co Louth in the Republic.
The arrest was made just days after senior officers stressed the investigation into the Real IRA attack, which killed 29 people, including a mother with unborn twins, was ongoing.
Relatives of some of the victims have launched a multi-million pound civil action against the five men they suspect of plotting the outrage.
