Omagh lifts Best Irish Film award
THE DRAMA Omagh has won Best Irish Film at the Irish Film and Television awards in Dublin.
Holy Cross won Best Television Drama, while Battle of the Bogside was named Best Documentary.
Gerald McSorley won best actor for his portrayal of campaigner Michael Gallagher, whose son Aidan was killed in the Omagh bombing.
Song for a Raggy Boy, a movie which featured young boys from a Belfast boxing club, won the People's Choice film award.
Ireland's A-list turned out for the glitzy bash, with film legend Maureen O'Hara and 007 star Pierce Brosnan stepping onto the red carpet.
Johnny Depp was named Best International Actor and Keira Knightley won Best International Actress.
