Omagh offers help as death toll in Madrid atrocity tops 190
THE death toll in the Spanish bomb massacre passed the 190-mark last night as fresh evidence emerged indicating a link to Arab terrorists.
Sympathy for the victims poured in from across Northern Ireland, with a two-minutes silence being held in Londonderry in memory of the dead.
And at Omagh, the scene of the Province's worst terrorist atrocity which claimed among its victims two members of a school party from Madrid, trauma experts offered to help the injured and bereaved.
The blast, although condemned by Gerry Adams, added further pressure on Sinn Fein as demands were made for an explaination of its links with the Spanish terror group ETA.
