OMAGH BOMBING WOMAN IS RELEASED

Omagh bombing: woman is released

A WOMAN being questioned by police about the Omagh bombing was last night released without charge.
Detectives continue to question her husband who can be held until today before he is charged or released.
The man has been questioned before by police about the bombing.
He is being held in Gough Barracks in Armagh city, and is also being questioned about a series of other attacks carried out by dissident republicans.
These include bombings in Lisburn, Newry and Banbridge, which came before the Omagh attack.
Up to 200 police officers and troops were involved in a major security swoop to seize the couple at a house in Jonesborough, south Armagh, on Tuesday morning.
A police spokeswoman confirmed last night that officers had carried out further searches on a number of premises in the south Armagh area as part of the ongoing investigation into serious terrorist crimes.
