'Net closes' as Real IRA boss convicted
THERE was renewed hope of justice in Omagh last night as Real IRA leader Michael McKevitt began his first night in jail as a convicted terrorist.
As police on both sides of the border pledged to step up their efforts, victims' relatives spoke of the net closing on the men who left the bomb which killed 29 people in the Tyrone town.
"We owe it to those who died to have our say in court and put our case against those who we think were responsible," said Stanley McCombe, who lost his wife in the 1998 atrocity.
"The net is closing in on the Omagh bombers. Having come this far, we cannot let them get away."
