OMAGH HIT BY BOMB WARNING

Omagh hit by bomb warning

OMAGH town centre was evacuated and closed to through traffic yesterday afternoon following a telephone bomb warning.
An anonymous caller rang the Samaritans to say a device had been left in Market Street.
Police later discovered a suspicious object at Kevlin Avenue and a controlled explosion was carried out.
Motorists had been advised to find alternative routes .
In another incident, Erneside Shopping Centre in Enniskillen was cleared just after 10am following a telephone warning.
A police spokesman said that incident was later declared a hoax.
