Blast-hit buildings demolished
WORK began yesterday on the demolition of buildings devastated by the Omagh bombing.
Two months to the day after the blast which killed 29 people and injured hundreds of others, contractors moved in to clear the bomb site.
Workers removed slates from roofs of a number of wrecked business premises. The work is expected to take a week to complete.
Contracts for the reconstruction of premises in Market Street will go out to tender.
