NORTHERN Ireland will play the Republic of Ireland next May - and the estimated £500,000 proceeds will go to the Omagh Bomb Appeal Fund. IFA secretary David Bowen has been in talks with the FAI for some time and May 29 is the date agreed.
Bowen said: "After our European games May 29 seems to be the agreed date. However the game has still to be ratified by the International Committee. Its a date which suits the managers and players
"Dublin offers a greater financial benefit to the fund as Lansdowne Road has a 30,000 seating capacity."
