THE office of a team of special counsellors has been flooded with calls from people trying to come to terms with the horror of August's Omagh massacre.
Every day around 50 people are calling and visiting the High Street centre while counsellors have made more than 100 home visits and held 193 therapy sessions to ease the suffering of those in need.
Young people and relatives of those killed in the bombing have contacted the centre looking for comfort and help in trying to cope with the horrific experiences.
Within days of the tragedy, which claimed the lives of 29 people, the Sperrin Lakeland Health Trust established the Community Trauma and Recovery Team to provide support for the hundreds of bereaved, injured and distressed.
Its co-ordinator Michael Duffy said it aimed to help the process of coping and recovery.
"The Omagh community has significant strengths and we do not wish to go in and intervene in ways which undermine those strengths. "Our approach also avoids any unnecessary medicalisation of the distress people have been experiencing."
Community care director David Bolton said: "Our staff have found time and time again, that many of those who were not directly involved, needed time to talk about the bombing and its consequences."
