Tribute to Omagh
OMAGH took another small step on the road to recovery yesterday in the presence of Secretary of State, Mo Mowlam.
Dr Mowlam, who was joined by community leaders from the town, launched the Omagh: Renewal and Beyond initiative which aims at rebuilding the community in the aftermath of the August bomb attack.
The Secretary of State paid tribute to the imagination of the council, community and business leaders for drawing up a regeneration plan that puts people at its heart.
"This new venture will help considerably in dealing with the tragic and long term effects of that horrific occasion," she said.
