EVERYBODY KNOWS DADDIES NEVER CRY

Everybody knows daddies never cry

WE are a group of 17-year-olds working towards NVQs with Impact Training. We all live in the greater Shankill area.
Since we heard about the Omagh bombing we can't stop thinking about all the people who have been killed and injured. We would like to send our condolences to the families and friends v ho have lost loved ones.
We also lost friends and loved ones in the Shankill Road bombing on October 23, 1993, so we know how the people of Omagh are feeling.
We went down to Omagh to see the local fair
Mum and Dad and Nanna and Granda too was there
Nanna bought us ice cream and Granda made us laugh
We went laughing down the road but death was in our path
The bomb went off in front of us with such a mighty roar
Although we didn't know it then our Mummy was no more
Daddy says she's in heaven and Nanna's with her too
We would not have gone to Omagh if only we had known
Daddy's cheeks are always wet and we keep wondering why
I'm sure that everybody knows THAT DADDIES NEVER CRY
