Viewers' anger at TV debate
ULSTER Television confirmed last night that it received an unprecedented number of complaints about Carlton Television's ITV network debate Thursday Night Live regarding the Omagh massacre.
Callers said the programme had not gauged the mood in Northern Ireland correctly and had not given the victims the time they deserved to describe their experiences.
A UTV spokesman said: "We are also very unhappy about aspects of the programme and we have made our criticism clear to Carlton."
